About Us
The Entrepreneur Development Program:
The Entrepreneur Development Program is funded through the Made in Montana Program and a grant from the State Tribal Economic Development Commission (STEDC). The goal of the program is to provide business planning courses to entrepreneurs starting a business and business owners who are growing and professionalizing their business. The program is part of the Small Business Development Lead Center. The program is a state/community partnership that includes local organizations that host the Small Business Development Centers, local chambers of commerce, and community colleges. The program develops successful business owners by giving them the professional marketing, operational and financial tools they need to maximize their business success. The program supplements education programs with business counseling and workshops. The education programs, FastTrac and Indianpreneurship , are comprehensive adult learning environments that include guest speakers from the business community, facilitators with business experience, and curriculums specifically designed to develop business planning skills and a business plan. In particular, the entrepreneur program is focused on developing the capacity of Indian organizations on the Reservations to mentor and support Indian business owners through classroom training, workshops, counseling and lending.
